JUNIOR RACE SERIES
The Goal:
This series provides a low-cost racing opportunity for both experienced and new racers. It also gives kids a chance to meet others with the same interests. The emphasis is on introducing the fun of ski racing to our youth.

Each night racers will take two runs through the Nastar Race course and ski additional runs
with coaches working on ski fundamentals.
Dates:
January 9, 16, 23, & 30 (it's okay to miss a day!)
The Concept:

Friday, January 9 (5pm-7pm): Check in at 5PM in the Lakeview Lodge; meet your coach and your team members. During this session racers will receive instruction, practice on the race course, and take two timed NASTAR runs.

Friday, January 16, 23, & 30 (5:30pm-7pm) - Racers meet their coach at the clock tower at 5:30. Each racer will take two NASTAR runs on these days. Team results will be an average of each participant’s best run. Racers missing a day will have their original seeding handicap included in their team’s daily results without penalty.

Friday, January 30 - After Party in the Caribou Room! Racers and families will meet in the lodge for awards and other festivities.
Cost:
• $50 ($40 if you have a NASTAR season pass)
• Includes NASTAR entry, a shirt, & some great prizes!
• Discounted lift tickets are available through Own the Night.
• We also have partial scholarships available in cases of need. To apply, please contact Karen.

Deadline: January 7, 2026
1. Sign Schweitzer waiver.
2. Register for NASTAR or obtain existing NASTAR number (use the search feature).

Coaches are volunteers. All of them are either local racing standouts or coaches for area teams. Don't forget to thank them!
